Responsibilities

  • Lead Financial planning and analysis efforts to develop budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing activities and inventory management goals.
  • Regularly review, analyze, and report operational financial data and KPI’s, assess performance, and develop action plans to improve outcomes.
  • Develop/Enhance Standard Operating Procedures and internal controls for plant activities and inventory transactions
  • Participate in plant and inventory continuous improvement initiatives as the finance subject matter expert
  • Establish and maintain material and labor standard costing rates including bill of material cost rolls and periodic full standard cost roll updates.
  • Responsible for monthly accounting close and reporting for plant operations and inventory including analysis and reconciliation of variances, plant costs, coverage, scrap, obsolete inventory expense, and balance sheet inventory.
  • Maintain parts database in ERP system
  • Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products.
  • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods, to determine effects on cost.
  • Analyze results of inventory counts and their impact on the financial results
  • Prepare and maintain account reconciliations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 5 years of cost accounting experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP compliance and applicable regulations
  • ERP Systems Experience – Epicor, QAD, SAP, JD Edwards experience preferred
  • Must be a self-starter with strong enterprising skills and highly motivated to succeed
