Responsibilities

• Effectively manage, lead and coach a team of engineers developing the Forage product platforms and cross functionally with Global Module Leaders
• Working closely with the Global Market/Sales Manager, defining the strategic product roadmaps for the forage platforms
• Develop Programs according Oxbo’s Product development process
• Develop, propose and manage engineering budgets (Resources, Materials, Validation etc) by project and department (OPEX and Eng CAPEX)
• Define project objectives and key collaborations within the strategical engineering roadmap
• Coordinate the Functional Teams on vehicle/implement development (i.e Technology, Hydraulics, Product Validation and Safety/Homologation)
• Plan validation activities (virtual, lab and field) with Product Validation Team
• Research, Conceptual designs and develop product innovations (including Field Autonomous and Robotics)
• Plan and execute strategies for engineering projects
• Build teams and staff development, including hiring and training of staff
• Present department reports and project presentations
• Strive to improve efficiency of processes and product designs
• Coordinate and Manage Design Contractors

Qualifications

  • Provide Sales Manager with pertinent product and sales programming information (both Company and competitive), market conditions, market demographics and industry trends for short and long range planning.
  • Make regular sales calls to dealers and customers (existing and new).
  • Organize and schedule regular on-site demonstrations of Company products.
  • Plan, monitor, forecast, implement and manage all Product sales activities to customers and dealers within the assigned Sales Territory; according to Company policies and guidelines.
  • Provide timely Product sales forecasts and orders, as requested.
  • Monitor all assigned dealer accounts, and collect amounts owing the Company, as required.
  • As directed by the Sales Manager; develop, update and implement development plans for the assigned Sales territory. Maintain current territory and dealer records and promptly submit written (electronic) call reports, as required.
  • Organize and manage marketing efforts as they pertain to the Company; complying with the Company’s growth objectives and budgetary requirements (advertising, farm shows, etc.).
  • Represent Company at related industry events within the assigned Sales Territory, as required.
  • Foster an open, participative environment that encourages team work and individual personal and professional growth and development.
  • As business grows, assist the Company in recruiting new employees for the Company.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
  • Adheres to company quality protocols and processes
  • Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the H&S handbook
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Must be capable of driving unaccompanied for trips as long as 8 hours – both daytime and nighttime.
  • Must be physically able to safely operate Company Products in both field applications and road transport.
  • Must be capable to safely lift up to 50 lbs. from ground to waist height, as required to prepare outdoor farm shows, indoor trade shows, meeting setup, Dealer/customer clinics and to service Company Products in the field.
  • Must demonstrate the cognitive skills for computer applications as required by the Position.
  • Must maintain a valid vehicle operator license.
  • Must be insurable (motor vehicle property damage, personal injury and liability) as required by the Company.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

 

Qualifications

  • At least five years current experience in the sales and marketing of agricultural equipment or related agricultural products.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Farm background preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in motivating and directing field sales activities.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Above average interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • Demonstrated above average proficiency in the agriculture industry.
  • Frequent overnight travel required.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
