Oxbo AT5104 Wins Red Dot Design Award

Oxbo is announcing the Oxbo AT5104 slurry applicator has been honored as a winner the prestigious Red Dot Award: Product Design for 2023.

“We are pleased the Oxbo AT5104 was recognized by Red Dot for its outstanding product design,” commented Roel Zeevat, Oxbo CEO. “The honor represents a significant achievement for Oxbo; having the AT5104 design recognized by one of the biggest design competitions in the world highlights our commitment to excellence in product design and innovative product development.”

“I’m proud of the work our engineering team did—along with our partner FLEX/design—to develop this award-winning design for our four-wheel applicator,” remarked Leonardo Ungaretti, CTO for Oxbo. “Oxbo engineers took the concept and brought it to life in the new AT5104. Not only does the AT5104 feature attractive design, but it also delivers significant performance to our customers: the ability to work with tramlines or utilize crab steering, an intelligent mechanical drive and CVT transmission, and the overall simplicity of operation for anyone in the driver’s seat.”

Gé van Bommel and Ronald Wouters led the design work for Oxbo; Hugo Copini and Jord Stijsiger contributed for FLEX/design.

About the Oxbo AT5104

The AT5104 applicator was designed for customers most concerned about compaction; it works with tramlines or crab steering. With software custom designed around nutrient application, new operators can run at full productivity and efficiency from the first day in the seat. The operator rides in a quiet cabin with screens and a control wheel designed to work together to reduce fatigue. The combination of the mechanical drive and CVT delivers more pulling power, which is critical for precise nutrient application and a more efficient use of fuel. When pulling implements, operators can cover more hectare per day and see up to a 40% reduction in fuel per hectare. The Oxbo AT5104 was designed to pull through the most difficult ground conditions. The system is smart enough to know just how to apply power and torque, correctly, without the operator making adjustments. If the AT5104 senses a slip, the engine and transmission work together to perfectly balance power and control. Delivering full control in all conditions—highly compacted ground to wet spots—the AT5104 knows just how to adjust and keep your application rate steady.
