MASTER SWITCH- HARVEST MODE CONTROL
Purpose: Engages all harvesting functions
Does NOT engage:
- Unloading conveyor
- Rear cross conveyor
- Suction fans (if shut off independently)
Operation:
- Move switch RIGHT → Starts conveyors
- Move switch LEFT → Stops conveyors
- Post-Emergency Reset Required: Set the switch to OFF before re-engaging harvest functions.
EMERGENCY ENGINE SHUTDOWN (MAXIMUM STOPPING POWER)
- Use ONLY in true emergencies – causes wear and potential engine damage.
- To activate: Turn the ignition key switch (operator-side console) to OFF.
- Result: Shuts down the engine to assist in stopping.
OPERATOR- PRESENT SWITCH (SEAT SENSOR)
Location: Embedded in seat cushion.
Function: Operator must be seated to activate ground drive & harvest functions
If the operator leaves the seat:
- 3 seconds → Warning chime sounds
- 7 seconds → Harvester
- Shuts down all harvest functions
- Comes to a complete stop (engine continues to run)
To Reactivate Functions:
- Sit in the seat to re-engage the seat switch
- Shift transmission to NEUTRAL
- Throttle engine below 1200 RPM
- Toggle master switch OFF → ON
EMERGENCY STOP SWITCHES
Locations:
- Left of the steering column
- Right side of the color sort conveyor
- Left side of the color sort conveyor
Activation: Push the red top-down → Stops all harvest functions and the harvester (engine continues to run)
Reset Procedure:
- Operator station: Twist the emergency stop (e-stop) knob → Automatically springs out to reset
- Conveyor sides: Pull the red top out
Restart Procedure After Emergency Stop:
- Sit in the seat (activate the operator-present switch)
- Shift transmission to NEUTRAL
- Throttle engine below 1200 RPM
- Toggle master switch OFF → ON
Rear Gate Sensors: The gates located on the rear left and rear right of the machine have an electrical switch which will de-active all harvest functions and ground drive if opened. The gates should only be opened when maintenance/service is required in the area. Utilize the rear left ladder to access the dipstick located behind the circular panel.
Operator Note: The all-harvest function will be disabled if the gate is opened; if the gate is opened during operation, the emergency stop procedure must be followed before reengaging the all-harvest switch.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- Never use the engine shutdown method unless in a critical emergency.
- Always throttle down and shift to neutral before restarting systems.
- Regularly test emergency stop switches and seat sensors for functionality
